Our day trip

This pretty much sums up our day trip to visit Ann & Ben and meet Peyton! Katelynn and Peyton are great friends. Peyton followed Katelynn around, licked her face, ate treats from her hand, and they played with the same toys. What a fun time we had! We toured the campus, Katelynn lost her sunglasses, we ate yummy mexican food, played with Peyton, and Katelynn ate her first peep. Thanks Auntie Ann! :) We had a wonderful day enjoying the beautiful spring weather.

Doesn't Peyton look cute in his new bunny ears? You should see his tail! :) Thanks Ann & Ben for a fun-filled day!

That birthday time of year

Happy Birthday to Daddy and to Gran! I've had the most fun these past two days hanging out with my mommy and daddy and Gran and Grandpa. Last night, we went to Red Robin to celebrate Daddy's Birthday. I got to eat some onion rings, chicken, hamburger, cheese, cantalope, french fries, and some cheerios. It was so much fun. That place is crazy - babies, kids, and people everywhere. Pretty loud, too! Daddy had a headache when we left. Then, we went to church and I played with Grandpa and Gran while Mommy and Daddy ran a few errands. I had the best time with them. I was supposed to hang out with them all night, but Daddy didn't want to go see a movie.

You'll see that I was a big help in opening presents and cards. I even opend an entire sealed package of spacers.

Tonight, I went with Mommy, Daddy, Gran and Grandpa to my favorite mexican restaurant, El Jaripeo. We celebrated Gran's birthday (again!). It was so much fun. I played hi five and fed everyone chips. I even had some of my mom and dad's burritos. Yummy! Then, we went to Tom's Drive In for some YUMMMMMMMY ice cream. Wow- I really hit the jackpot this time. I had three different kinds to choose from: Mommy's, Daddy's, or Gran & Grandpa's. Before we left, Daddy let me feed myself with his spoon! I can do just about anything.

You can see that I even know what to do with socks. If you look at my 365 blog, you'll see I can even break into the locked cabinets. Yesterday, I said "See ya!" I can open the toilet and stick my hands inside it. I try to pull Gus off the counter by his tail - he doesn't really like this. I'm not sure why. Whew! I am a handful!

Well, it's past my bedtime and I don't want to get in trouble with Mommy and Daddy!

Goodnight!

Great Gran & Weekend Fun

Katelynn always enjoys spending time with Great Gran. They played the piano together (the pictures are from Saturday) and had a great time!

After playing the piano, Katelynn played a new cowboy hat game of peek-a-boo with Great Gran and cousin Andrew. They really enjoyed it!

Katelynn also played hide and go seek, here she is crawling out of the closet! :)

While we were getting ready for a playdate yesterday afternoon, Katelynn was running around the house while I chased her with her coat. Jason picked her up and as we were putting her arms in the sleeve of the coat she shakes her head and says "don't want to!" And, if that wasn't enough enjoyment for one day, at dinner, Katelynn was smiling for pictures and saying "cheese!"

Our adorable family!

Happy Birthday Mom!

To celebrate my mom's 60th birthday (which is March 14) we had a wonderful SURPRISE dinner last evening. Mom had absolutely no idea, even though her mom and nephew were both in town visiting. She arrived at dinner a few minutes after all the guests were seated. Our guests traveled from as far as Michigan and Minnesota to celebrate her birthday. The guests included her friends from work: Lori & George; Linda & Dick; and Dorothy; her brother Wes & Bill; dad's Uncle Gene & Aunt Donna; Grandma, Andrew, Chris, Cherie & Will, and our family: Dad, Jay & Jamie, Jason, Katelynn & me. A few people couldn't join us - we missed Aunt Teresa & her family, Mom's friends Bill & Doris and Pastor Tim & Becky.

This is the look of shock!

Happy March!

I'm sure I'm not the only one who wishes it was spring already! We are all looking forward to warmer weather and walks and bike rides and swimming! Oh, I can hardly wait!

We've been staying busy. Jason spent last weekend with Katelynn as I went scrapbooking with my best friend, Ann, and my friend Lyn from work. It was a wonderful weekend away. This was my first night away from Katelynn. She did better than I did - it helped that I was scrapbooking her albums!

Katelynn has been teething for about a month. Her molars are coming in - they look huge and painful! She has been enjoying dairy as have I. We had our first slices of pizza, bites of ice cream, and chocolate last week. Marvelous! Reasons why it needs to warm up, so we can exercise!

Today, Katelynn helped her dad put together her table, which she got for her birthday. She is quite the helper, but also quite the adverturesome one! She has no fear! Oh yikes! The fun is just beginning!

We are looking forward to a visit from Great Gran "Tutu" and cousin Andrew this weekend. Woohoo! We ♥ guests!
