Mulberry Lane Farm

Today we enjoyed a wonderful time with our family and friends. We spent a couple hours at the Mulberry Lane Farm. We got to go on a pony ride, milk a cow (Elsie), see a momma pig (Maggie) and her piglets, go on a tractor ride, hang out with some roosters, pet a baby chicken and some baby ducklings, run with the turkeys, have a sheep eat out of our hands, play with goats, run with teenage pigs, and pick our own pumpkin! There were some other animals, too, but those were the highlights. We thought Katelynn would be a little too young to enjoy the farm, but we were wrong! She had a lot of fun playing with the animals!

The day was a little cool, we had a little drizzle, but it was perfect!

A Summary of our week

It started out with the Packers losing...Katelynn was very depressed, Until she had some applesause, then she seemed much happier.
At dinner, she had to eat turkey and gravy, she wasn't sure about that.
On Thursday, she had Chicken Noodle...much better!

Katelynn can pull herself up and stand...yikes!

36 Weeks

Katelynn has two more teeth! We know they have been coming for about a month, but we can finally see them. Katelynn is crawling everywhere! On Sunday, she and Jason crawled from one end of our church to the other. Anyone who has been to our church knows that is a really long crawl!

We are enjoying each moment with her. She loves to talk. We hear that she is the leader of the squealing at Angie's house during the day! (Sorry!!!)

We are looking forward to a fun weekend of activities: the car show on Friday night, Octoberfest on Saturday, and a trip to the farm on Sunday!

I'll try to post some pics of Katelynn later tonight.

8 Months ago today...

Princess Katelynn is 8 months old! We can hardly believe it. She has changed so much! Grammy and Grandpa Shultz spent the weekend with us and they were amazed at her progress since they saw her in July.

In the last month...
Katelynn has learned to crawl!
Katelynn has mastered squealing!
Katelynn babbles constantly!
Katelynn says Mom, Mama, Hi, Bob, Yeah, Daa(so close to Dad!), Gra Mamamama!
Katelynn is pulling up and trying to stand!
Katelynn lunges!
Katelynn can drink and drench herself from a sippy cup!

Her motor skills are outstanding! She "acts" for the crowd. Her face lights up in delight and frowns when she doesn't like something. She loves her fruit and vegetables. She knows who is a stranger and who is a friend. She is a Princess!

Save the date: Katelynn's Princess Birthday Party is going to be Saturday, January 17, 2009. The planning has begun!

Busy Weekend

We had a fun weekend, beginning with the Buddy Walk in Green Bay on Saturday morning. We were a part of Team Logan, helping to promote Down syndrome awareness. We walked 1.5 miles as a family and had a good time! Logan's mom, Melanie, is a friend of mine from high school. Here is a picture of our family and one of Logan and Katelynn playing in the grass.

Saturday night was my 10-year high school class reunion! Oh my goodness, time flies when you're having fun! We celebrated this grand event at the Irish Waters Golf Course in Freedom with some snacks, free beer, and free soda. Not that many people showed up - but almost all of my high school girlfriends were there. We missed Melissa, who just had her first little baby, Preston, last week. You'd think we would have taken a group picture - but we didn't! Here is one of Jason and I before we left.

Jason has his last race of the year (we hope!) at Marshfield, so it was a quiet day for me and my little princess. Or so you'd think...but of course, she decides TODAY is the day she crawls for real. We knew it was only a matter of time, she's been creeping and "almost" crawling for a week or more, but when Daddy is gone, she finally does it. Unless I have my camera out, then she suddenly forgets how to move!

Here are some pictures from our day:

Oh yes! That is the Jets game you see in the background!! We still love Brett!
