XLV... part one

I've always wanted to see the Green Bay Packers play in the Super Bowl and we were lucky enough to get the chance this year!  Jason and I, along with my favorite FIB Maggie flew to Dallas to witness the Packers beat the Steelers in Super Bowl XLV!

We flew out of Milwaukee on Southwest to Dallas, they had a tailgate party setup as we boarded the plane.  Brats, foam fingers, and green and gold beads.  Such a fun time!

When we got to Dallas, the airport was decorated with NFL banners and balloons.

Oh, and there was snow....EVERYWHERE!
We were just thankful to have made it to Dallas safely and we had a rental car, which was lucky, since the entire city cab service was on strike, and the snow had pretty much shut down the Big D.
We made the 15 minute trip from the airport to Uncle Russell and Aunt Dianna's house in a little over an hour.  The roads were treacherous, at best.  And we were THANKFUL to make it to their house!

In the morning, the snow had been melting and were able to enjoy much quicker travel around the city and ventured to Arlington to see the stadium!

The neighbor's snowman was still standing, though!
It was fun to see the sights along the way!

The best hosts! ♥

Aunt Dianna, Uncle Russell and Jason

Crews were trying to remove snow and ice off the roof of the stadium! Yikes!

Little did we know just how much fun we would have the next day!  ♥
