Our Kansas City Adventure

We just returned from a whirlwind weekend in Kansas City to visit with all our family and friends. We had a wonderful time and it went way too fast! Katelynn is such a trooper, but she is exhausted!

On Friday, we left our house before the sun to catch our flight to Kansas City. Thankfully, we arrived in Kansas City just a little late at 9:30. Great Grandpa McClain and Grammy were there to meet us. We spent Friday afternoon at cousin Jennifer's house, who took some beautiful pictures of Katelynn. She's posted a couple on her blog: http://jennifermullinaxphotography.blogspot.com/ Jennifer does amazing work and we're so glad she was able to spend some time with us! Jason spent Friday night at the Royals game with a bunch of his friends while the rest of the family enjoyed spending time with Katelynn.

Saturday was Grammy's birthday (the reason for our trip) and we were so blessed to have everyone come join us at their house to meet and visit with Katelynn. We had so much fun!!

I'm hoping to post lots of pictures tonight!

3 Months!

Oh, my baby is growing up so fast! The last three months have been an amazing journey and we are loving every minute of it. We've had lots of firsts...first smile, first laugh, first roll-over, first full night of sleep! This next week, Katelynn will add another first...first flight! She had plenty of flights in-utero, but she's super excited about Friday's flight to Kansas City. We are looking forward to a wonderful weekend with the rest of our Shultz Family and our friends!

Happy Birthday Grandpa!

We celebrated Grandpa's birthday on Monday night. The whole family went out to dinner and Katelynn met her Great-Great Uncle Gene and Great-Great Aunt Donna. We had so much fun. Happy Birthday!!

12 Weeks

She's rolling! Katelynn has rolled over twice that we've seen! She rolled from her belly to her left side to her back on Friday at Gran and Grandpa's and then this afternoon when we were there she rolled from her belly to her right side to her back! She is so silly! She was smiling the whole time.

We also found that Katelynn is a huge NASCAR fan, we are wondering who she gets that from...

We've had a wonderful week and we are enjoying a relaxing weekend!

11 Weeks

The no dairy and soy diet seems to be doing the trick! Katelynn is much happier than she was before and feels so much better. There was a day or two with some mild puking, so we called the doctor. I'm pretty sure the doctors just want to take as much money from us as possible, so they sent us for an ultrasound on Katelynn's belly. Turns out that everything is fine, but it's better to be safe than sorry. Katelynn seems completely unphased by these adventures to the hospital (thankfully). We enjoyed a beautiful weekend as Katelynn cheered on KU.
