10 Weeks

Jason and I were talking about how much our lives had changed in the past 10 weeks. We've become different people with different priorities - and we're loving every minute of it!

Katelynn went to the doctor last week for her 2 month check up. We've been frustrated because Katelynn is very gassy and seems to be in a lot of pain. We've been told "babies cry" and basically, "we're first time parents who don't know what's going on." So we were prepared to battle the doctor at our appointment.

Dr. Hunt belives that Katelynn is allergic to cow's milk protein, and this is what is causing her stomach problems. The solution to this allergy is a dairy and soy-free diet for me and hypoallergenic formula. We've noticed some small changes already and truly hope this is the diagnosis. Katelynn doesn't seem to be having as many painful moments as she had before. If this continues, we can try to add soy to our diets in about a month.

We enjoyed a quiet Easter weekend with my parents. Katelynn did much better this week in church than she did last week. Let's hope that continues. It's been nice to get back into our "normal" routine.

I'll try and post some pictures tonight. We can't wait for Uncle Jay and Aunt Jamie to get back from Florida - so we can celebrate their engagement!

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Later in the day...

Jason was so exhausted, he took a little break from watching the NASCAR race, the Wisconsin game, and the KU game.

2 Months

Katelynn is two months old! Wow, how the time flies! We celebrated her 2-month birthday with church and Madison's 2-year old birthday party. Here are some pictures Jason took today of Katelynn wearing her stylish outfit from Uncle Jeff and Aunt Natalie:

Isn't she adorable?

Daddy Stays Home

Did you ever wonder what would happen if Jason stayed home for the day with Katelynn? Well, here's what happens:

Yes, Daddy dresses her in KU colors! To celebrate the Big 12 Tournament, Jason broke the clothing rules (wash before wearing, only wear clothes that fit her) and dressed Katelynn in her KU onesie from Uncle Chris and Aunt Kara.

Jason said they would have a suprise for me, but I didn't figure matching outfits!

Daddy's Birthday!

Happy Birthday to Daddy!

We celebrated Jason's birthday with a night out, thanks to Uncle Jay and Auntie Jamie. Katelynn enjoyed helping Daddy blow out the candles.

Playing in the Snow

We thought we would take advantage of a nice warm winter day and get some pictures of Katelynn in the snow. Here's our little snow angel:

Kansas City...Here we come!

I know many of you have been waiting for us to bring Katelynn to Kansas City and you'll get your chance to see her the last weekend in April! We are flying into town on Friday morning and leaving Sunday evening. We will be in town to celebrate Grammy's birthday! Katelynn is super excited to meet the rest of her extended family and of course see Grammy, Grandpa, Uncle Jeff & Aunt Natalie, and Auntie Kara again.

Week 7

Katelynn finally got to meet her Auntie Ann! After waiting a really long time, Ann was home for the weekend, interviewing for jobs and she stopped by to visit Katelynn on Sunday with Ben. We're so glad we got to spend some time with you! Hope you both get jobs close to us!

This week is my first week back to work and we're all glad that it's almost over! Katelynn seems to be adjusting to days at Angie's house. Each day seems to be better than the day before. We're looking forward to spending the weekend together, doing nothing! Even though I'm at work, I get to talk about Katelynn alot, as most clients ask to see her picture, a welcome break! I'm so thankful to have a wonderful employer and great co-workers to make this transition easier. I've made it home before dark everyday this week - yippee!!!

Back to Work

It was back to work for me, much harder for me than it was for Katelynn! Once I got to work and got done hugging everyone the day seemed a little less sad. I know that Katelynn is perfectly safe and happy at Angie's and I just need to accept that. Thankfully, I had a good day at work and even got home on time!

Here are a few of my favorite pictures from the end of the week:
