Can you believe that Katelynn is 10 months old? Neither can we. When we think back over the past 10 months, we laugh and smile and cry. Tears of happiness, though, I assure you.
Katelynn has brought our family so much joy! She has taught us a lot: We've learned we can't sweat the small stuff; spit up is fashionable; patience! patience!; we can survive on only Diet Coke and love; Whiskey Walks are not only fun, but very important for mental health; and laughter truly is the best medicine.
Katelynn keeps us on our toes and keeps our priorities straight. She is the only cure for a bad day at work. Stress can be washed away by a smile or the sound of her infectious laughter.
In the last month, Katelynn has become proficient at standing, at times unassisted, she crawls at the speed of light, holds her own bottle, feeds herself puffs or small pieces of food, and can climb (stairs, fireplace, etc.)
Katelynn can say Mommy, Daddy, Bob, hi, and yeah. She waves and says hi to nearly everyone she meets. Not a day goes by that someone doesn't stop us to admire her beautiful blue eyes and talk to her.
Just a few weeks ago, while eating Mexican food, a woman stopped at our table to talk to Katelynn. The two had been waving and smiling at each other frequently while we ate. The woman said to Katelynn, "if your Mommy and Daddy weren't watching you so closely, I'd take you home with me."
Katelynn never ceases to amaze us. She is an excellent traveler. She has been on three seperate trips flying to Kansas City (twice) and to Florida. She's been to Minneapolis twice and to Great Gran's once - and that's pretty good! Last Sunday, we went on our first day trip to Slinger.
She's not quite a world traveler, but if you see any deals for Fiji - let us know!

She's growing up way too fast have her slow down just a little until we get up there in 2 months. Enjoy her she'll be running before you know it! Love you guys!
