Rolling baby everywhere!

Katelynn has been rolling from her front to her back since the beginning of April or so, but we've finally witnessed rolling from her back to her belly. Again and again! We had such a fun time this morning watching her roll around. It's quite a sight to see! We have video of it, but I can't seem to figure out how to download it without finishing the DVD. So, hopefully in a couple days I can share this memory with you!

We enjoyed a beautiful day, but we're missing Jason, who is off in Wisconsin Dells for a silly race. We miss you! Hurry back! :)

4 Months

We're been busy the last few weeks, but were able to relax Memorial Day weekend with a trip to Ashland to visit Great Gran! We left Friday evening and made the 4+ hour drive to the north woods. We were suprised by how well Katelynn traveled. She slept almost the entire trip, other than a quick stop in Woodruff (just past half-way) for her bedtime feeding. We enjoyed two full days at Grandma's house - what a relaxing escape! Grandma was thrilled to see Katelynn - she hasn't seen her since she was 10 days old! Katelynn enjoyed her time with Great Gran and we look forward to our next visit. We even got to see some deer in Grandma's yard.

Jason has been very busy with racing and last week was gone for his real job, which means I had lots of help from Grandma and Grandpa while he was away. They were a huge help in picking Katelynn up from Angie's and taking care of her until I got home from work and in keeping us company. THANK YOU!!

Katelynn had her 4 month checkup and shots on the 16th. She weighed 14 lbs 12 oz (76%), 25" long (79%) and her head is 42 cm (79%). As Dr. Hunt says, "she's perfect" - we couldn't agree more!

She has been smiling and giggling and more impressively - touching her toes, sucking her toes, and holding her legs in the air (while sucking her toes!).

I've been tagged!

I've been tagged by Melanie...
What I was doing 10 yrs ago: May 1998... I was about to graduate from High School! I decided to attend Northern Illinois University and major in Journalism!

Five things on my to do list for today: Buy some new socks for Katelynn, decorate at church, spend time with my mom, hang out with Katelynn, and relax!

Three of my bad habits: Having a bad attitude about work, working too much, and complaining about my dairy free diet!

What would I do if I was a billionaire: Retire, start a foundation, get box seats at Lambeau, hire a cleaning lady.

Five places I have lived: Freedom, WI; DeKalb, IL; Appleton, WI; and currently, Freedom, WI

Five jobs I have had: DJ's SpeedZone, Dayton's (aka Marshall Fields), NASCAR, Bob Gurns Golf Learning Center, and my all-time favorite Winch Advisory Services.

4 places I go over and over: WORK, church, grocery store, gas station

4 people that email me: My dad, Becky, Grandpa McClain, Jason

4 of my favorite foods: Milk, Cheese, Ice Cream, and Pizza (all of which I can't eat!)

4 places I would rather be right now: At Grandma's for Mother's Day, Fiji - Katelynn needs to see the South Pacific, in bed sleeping, or the beach!

4 movies I could watch over and over: I can't stand watching movies over and over again. After I've forgotten how the story goes, I do enjoy most romantic comedies.

Great Aunt Carol

This is Katelynn with her Great Aunt Carol when we were in KC a couple weeks ago. We didn't have a picture of them together on our camera, but Grammy Shultz did! Sorry we didn't get this posted sooner! I know Katelynn is looking forward to seeing you in Florida! :-)

Our Kansas City Adventure

We just returned from a whirlwind weekend in Kansas City to visit with all our family and friends. We had a wonderful time and it went way too fast! Katelynn is such a trooper, but she is exhausted!

On Friday, we left our house before the sun to catch our flight to Kansas City. Thankfully, we arrived in Kansas City just a little late at 9:30. Great Grandpa McClain and Grammy were there to meet us. We spent Friday afternoon at cousin Jennifer's house, who took some beautiful pictures of Katelynn. She's posted a couple on her blog: http://jennifermullinaxphotography.blogspot.com/ Jennifer does amazing work and we're so glad she was able to spend some time with us! Jason spent Friday night at the Royals game with a bunch of his friends while the rest of the family enjoyed spending time with Katelynn.

Saturday was Grammy's birthday (the reason for our trip) and we were so blessed to have everyone come join us at their house to meet and visit with Katelynn. We had so much fun!!

I'm hoping to post lots of pictures tonight!

3 Months!

Oh, my baby is growing up so fast! The last three months have been an amazing journey and we are loving every minute of it. We've had lots of firsts...first smile, first laugh, first roll-over, first full night of sleep! This next week, Katelynn will add another first...first flight! She had plenty of flights in-utero, but she's super excited about Friday's flight to Kansas City. We are looking forward to a wonderful weekend with the rest of our Shultz Family and our friends!

Happy Birthday Grandpa!

We celebrated Grandpa's birthday on Monday night. The whole family went out to dinner and Katelynn met her Great-Great Uncle Gene and Great-Great Aunt Donna. We had so much fun. Happy Birthday!!

12 Weeks

She's rolling! Katelynn has rolled over twice that we've seen! She rolled from her belly to her left side to her back on Friday at Gran and Grandpa's and then this afternoon when we were there she rolled from her belly to her right side to her back! She is so silly! She was smiling the whole time.

We also found that Katelynn is a huge NASCAR fan, we are wondering who she gets that from...

We've had a wonderful week and we are enjoying a relaxing weekend!
