11 Months

Eleven very short months ago today, our precious Katelynn was born. We are both astonished at how fast the time has gone. Katelynn has changed so much and so quickly that it makes us a little sad. It is true that you must treasure each moment.

For those of you who haven't witnessed Katelynn in action over the past month, you've missed A LOT! She is a busy-body. She crawls lightning fast. She stands up anywhere and everywhere. She isn't quite walking, and that is super fine with us! She walks around everything and will take some steps with us holding on, but she wants nothing to do with letting go and taking steps on her own! She climbs stairs on her own. If she sees you coming, she climbs up the stairs faster. And, in case you were wondering, there is only one way to go down the stairs - head first! She crawls down the stairs head first. YIKES! That is why Mom and Dad are only a few inches behind.

Katelynn loves to talk. She is very good at responding to questions you ask of her when she can answer yes. She seems to know what she wants and is happy to tell you about it. She is funny! She loves to laugh and play games with you. She loves to be the center of attention! Recently, she loves to hug and cuddle (when she wants to, not when you want to). She waves and says hi to everyone we meet.

Except SANTA! We went to meet Santa tonight and she started crying as soon as Jason gave her to Santa, so we all joined in for a happy family picture.

Katelynn has 7 words in vocabulary: Mom (and variations of Mom), Dad, Bob, yes, yeah, hi, and kitty. We have heard some other words, but she doesn't use them.

We are truly blessed with a perfect family. We cannot wait to celebrate Christmas and experience her 1st Christmas. We are very excited that Grammy and Grandpa are coming to see us, too! We can't wait!
