I'm a little behind on updating and there's just one more week of me being home with Katelynn. Each day is memorable and precious. I love the time we've gotten to spend together. I know she'll be in good hands with Angie - thankfully, I don't need to worry about that!
Last week, the home health nurse came to visit and Katelynn weighed 8 pounds 12 ounces, a full pound more than 2 weeks ago, and 21.5 inches long. In just over a month, she gained an inch and just over a pound.
The newborn clothes are still very handy, we've found the only thing she has outgrown is the footed sleeper, which looked a little short, especially when she was kicking and screaming!
Katelynn posed in her 0-3 month outfit from Grammy:
Katelynn wants Grammy to know that she is still really little, but couldn't resist wearing this cute outfit, even if it is a little big!
We enjoyed having Aunt Kara come visit us a week ago, for a quick weekend visit while she was in Chicago for work. Katelynn can't wait to meet Uncle Chris, Austin and Avery!
This past weekend, Katelynn got to meet her Great Aunt Teresa and Uncle Gary, Will and Ben. I didn't take any pictures with them, so hopefully they did or maybe my parents did. We enjoyed spending time with the boys, who turn 2 in July and found out they don't like it when their mommy holds Katelynn! Hopefully, they'll be willing to pose for a picture the next time we see them. We enoyed your visit - thanks for coming!
Last night, Jason and I were able to go out for dinner and to the Phil Vassar concert! We were so excited to see Phil again - he's the best live performance you'll ever see. This is the sixth time we've seen him, but this time it was acostic - just Phil and his guitar player, Jeff.
Thanks to Gran and Grandpa who stayed with Katelynn!
Here's a few more pics from the past week:

Happy Valentine's Day!
Wishing all of you a Happy Valentine's Day. Our day was a little different than how we've spent the past 6 years, but we enjoyed every minute! Katelynn and I ventured to Ameriprise to meet Daddy for lunch, spent the afternoon watching the Gatorade Duels from Daytona with Grandpa and Great Uncle Les, and then went out for our first sit-down dinner with Gran, Grandpa, and Great Uncle Les.
Thank you for coming to visit Uncle Les - Katelynn enjoyed meeting you!

Long day...but good news!
Katelynn had a very long day, with a visit to the doctor and then we were sent to the hospital for a not so pleasant procedure. After what seemed like a long time, the doctor told us that Katelynn is just fine and sent us home.
We got some great news tonight, Jeff and Natalie are having a baby! We couldn't be happier! Jason is looking forward to being an uncle, I'm looking forward to being an aunt, and Katelynn can't wait to have a cousin! YAY! We'll do them a favor and let them enjoy the next 9 months, we won't tell them about the challenges of having a newborn - we'll let that be a suprise (just like it is for us!).
Won't they make great parents??!!!!

3 Weeks
Time goes by so quickly, I can't believe Katelynn is 3 weeks old already. This week has brought a lot of change. Jason went back to work on Tuesday, which means it's just me and the little princess all day. The weather is still icky, which means we're stuck in the house.
Each day seems better than the day before and she is changing so much! I can't imagine going back to work in 3 weeks!
We had a visit from a home health nurse this week, she said that Katelynn is doing well. She weighed in at 7 pounds, 15 ounces and 20.5 inches long. She is just amazing to watch - she is so strong!
We have lots to look forward to this coming week, a visit from Great Aunt Teresa, Gary and Will & ben this weekend, Great Uncle Les is coming to visit early next week, and next weekend, Auntie Kara comes to visit! We are so excited to see everyone!
We hope that Grammy is feeling better soon, she has been in the hospital since early Wednesday morning! We love you!!!

Grammy and Grandpa
After waiting 2.5 weeks, Katelynn was finally able to meet her Grammy and Grandpa on Saturday! They enjoyed loving her all weekend long and hated to leave for the airport tonight. [But we're sorta delighted that the airport was closed and got to spend another night in Wisconsin!] Thankfully, they took lots of pictures to remember this special weekend. Come back and visit soon - we miss you already!

2 Week Checkup
We went to see Dr. Hunt on Thursday for Katelynn's 2 week checkup. Dr. Hunt says she is perfect! She weighs 7 pounds, 12 ounces (up 2.5 ounces from birth and 12 ounces from her low of 7 pounds), which is 30%, 21 inches long (she's grown half an inch), which is 75%, and her head is 35.2 cm, which is also 30%.
We don't go back to see Dr. Hunt until her 2 month check up! I can't believe they don't want to see us before then! :-)
